Build Adjustments

Builders note one issue: the slide-stop spring channel sometimes doesn’t fit correctly, requiring trimming or reinforcement. We recommend finishing carefully and slowly especially the holes to ensure a smooth build. we also suggest you break in your new PF45 80% Frame gently by firing single rounds initially.

Accessories

Finding the right holster can prove tricky. Many G20/21 OWB holsters don’t fit the PF45 because its Picatinny rail adds bulk. However, the Safariland 578 GLS has worked well for some of our users.

Q: What calibers work with the PF45?

The PF45 supports .45 ACP and 10mm Auto when paired with Glock Gen 3 G20SF or G21SF slide assemblies and components.

Q: Does the PF45 come fully finished?

No. Polymer80 ships the PF45 as an 80% frame, which means you must finish it before it functions as a firearm. You can use the included jig and drill bits to complete the frame at home.

Q: What does the PF45 kit include?

The kit includes the PF45 80% LARGE FRAME, rear and front stainless steel rail modules, hardened pins, a finishing jig, and the correct drill bits for completion.

Q: How do I add a serial number to the PF45?

You can engrave a serial number on the blank serialization plate built into the frame. Some states require this after you complete the frame.

Q: Do I need experience to build the PF45?

No professional gunsmithing experience is required. Follow Polymer80’s build guide, use the included tools, and work in a well-lit space.
